Known for his great goals from outside the area that the fans renamed 'Casquerazos', the Talavera midfielder became a fixture in Bernd Schuster's plans. He scored in two Copa del Rey semi-final matches: in the 4-0 win over Barcelona in 2007 and in the 1-1 win at Sardinero against Racing the following year. He is the player who has played the most matches with Getafe in the first division: 190.
